USB-C (aka USB Type-C) compatible monitors cost more than other monitors since they use the newer connection type for a more convenient connection on many new laptops and smartphones.
Many new PC laptops, MacBooks, and some Android smartphones have a USB-C port, which may allow extending its display to this monitor.
Check your device specs to see if it has USB-C with video output capability, and you can read more about USB-C.
- Ultrasharp 27" Monitor With $150 Gift for $360
Dell Ultrasharp 27-inch U2719D IPS Monitor for $360, and includes a $150 Dell Promotional eGift Card.
Backed by a 3-year Advanced Exchange Warranty, which is one of the best warranties around.
We recently had a new Dell monitor break shortly after we received it, and got a free replacement within 2 days of calling Dell.
They emailed a UPS shipping label for sending the defective monitor back to Dell in the box that the replacement came in,
along with instructions to drop it off at a nearby UPS Store within 7 days.
The free $150 Promotional credit is sent by email within a couple weeks after purchase, and valid for 90 days toward another purchase at Dell.com.
- Acer 31.5" Curved Monitor $155
A cheap version of one of Acer's 31.5-inch curved monitors is on sale today at $155.
The large 1080p monitor has a good 1ms response time and 165Hz refresh rate, which are good for games.
Compatible with VESA mounts, and has displayport and HDMI inputs.
The 1080p resolution is quite low for such a large monitor.
- Two 24" Monitors With Dual Stand for $136 (expired: price raised)
2-pack of Dell 24-inch P2419H IPS Monitors with MDS19 Dual Monitor Stand for $150.51.
Add one to the cart, then apply code STAND4SMALL to get 10% off, making the price $135.46 plus tax.
According to the "What's in the Box" section of the product description, this purchase includes:
Two Dell 24 Monitors - P2419H without stand
Dell Dual Monitor Stand - MDS19
2 power cables, 2 display port cables, 2 USB 3.0 upstream cables.
One P2419H normally sells for $160 so two for $136 is a hot deal!
The MDS19 seems to be a decent dual-monitor stand.
According to the description on Amazon, it can pivot, tilt, and rotate the two monitors side-by-side.
Here is a review with photo that shows one monitor rotated.
There are several complaints about the stand's limited height adjustment range.
One major factor to consider is the possibility of a shorter warranty.
We cannot find any indication of the warranty length of the monitors, so it is likely these two monitors will not be covered by Dell's 3-year Advanced Exchange Warranty.
In comparison, if you add the regular P2419H to your cart, it clearly shows the warranty in the full specs.
The two-monitor bundle does not show any warranty, so if you want a 3-year warranty, do not buy the bundle.
Another downside is the maximum 1920x1080 (1080p) resolution, while many other 24-inch monitors go to up 3840x2160 (4K).
It's also not the best choice for games, since the 5-8 millisecond response time may cause a ghosting effect while fast-moving objects move across the screen.
We own three of the smaller 22-inch versions of this monitor (the P2219H) and believe these and other P-series Dell monitors are a great choice for someone who stares at a computer screen all day.
The P-Series, as well as Dell's Ultrasharp series, have text clarity sharper than some "gaming" monitors we tried.
We like how the screen is so close to the edge (about 0.18 inches by our measurement).
Dell's build quality is good, and these are very thin and weigh less than our 15-year old 20" Dell Ultrasharp that died last week.
- Ultrasharp 24" Monitor and $100 Gift for $198 (expired: $100 gift no longer included)
Dell Ultrasharp 24-inch U2419H is available for $220 which is about $10 less than normal price, and apply coupon code STAND4SMALL during checkout to get it for $198.
Plus, they are giving a free $100 promotional eGift card with purchase.
Includes a 3-year Advanced Exchange warranty.
A Dell promotional gift card arrives by email 10-20 days after your order ships, carries a 90 day expiration, and valid toward a purchase on Dell.com.
Because it has an expiration date, be sure you know what you would want to buy with the free $100 before deciding to get this deal.
For example, a Lexmark 2-Sided Laser Printer is $128 ($28 after credit), or put the credit toward a Samsung TV.
- Dell 24" P-Series IPS Monitor $160
Dell's P-series are great quality monitors, and our pick for people who are working from home.
We like the P-series because the clarity of small text is easier on the eyes than some "gaming" style 24-inch monitors priced between $100 and $150.
Also comes with a 3-year warranty.
Not every monitor can be mounted to a desk arm, but the Dell monitors are VESA-mount compatible.
Using this mount or or this mount can give a cleaner desk/work area.
On the downside, its maximum resolution is 1920x1080 (1080p), not the more-fine 4K resolution available on some similarly-priced monitors.
