- HP Inkjet Printer/Scanner with Wifi for $55
HP Envy 4520 All-in-One Inkjet Photo Printer with flatbed 1200dpi scanner for $55 today.
Normally sells for $70 to $80.
CNet reviews it as a capable printer with good features, and Amazon reviewers say it is decent but replacement ink costs more than other printers.
You can save on ink by buying third-party ink through Ebay.
It looks to us like a compact printer that should work on most Wifi networks (or plugged in to a single computer with a USB cable).
Samsung Printer Xpress (M2830DW) Monochrome Laser Printer with 4800x600dpi printing, Duplex (2-sided printing), Ethernet (wired) networking, Wifi, NFC printing (from your phone), Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint, and 2-sided printing (Duplex) for $60.
Free shipping or in-store pickup.
Full specs are here.
Replacement toner at about $29 per cartridge is cheap compared to other laser printers.
We owned this printer since December, when it was first on sale.
It is convenient to print from laptops anywhere on our Wifi network.
We printed about 100 pages so far, and is perfect for occasional use.
The 2-sided printing saves paper, and the printer was easy to set up by plugging the Ethernet port in the router.
After plugging into your network, use your computer or laptop to install the Samsung drivers (located under the Manuals & Downloads section, choose Mac, Windows, or Linux download).
Some reviewers had issues using the Wifi settings, which could be an issue when putting this printer away from a router or switch.
However if you can plug it into your network with an Ethernet cable, you can then print from any device on your network including from Wifi devices (laptops, tablets, etc).
- HP P1109w Laserjet Pro for $79
Both MacMall and Staples are selling an HP P1109w Laserjet Pro monochrome laser printer with 19 pages-per-minute (PPM) speed for $79 and $80 with free shipping.
Normally sells for about $90.
They are also selling a AOC 27-inch Computer Monitor for $170.
Has HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs.
According to AOC, the LED panel has a 1-year warranty and the rest of the monitor (material and workmanship) has a 3-year warranty.
Other stores sell this monitor for about $178 and $200.
The availability of cheap third-party replacement cartridges is one of our favorite "features" of Samsung printers.
Search Ebay for C410W Toner and M2830DW Toner to find replacement ink cartridges at about $20 to $30 for black toner, and $15 to $30 per color cartridge (for the color laser printer).
Overall, the Samsung laser printers have good features, print decent quality, and have a low long-term cost when using third-party toner cartridges.
We have used a Samsung CLP-300 Color Laser Printer for about 5 years and a Samsung M2830DW Laser Printer for 6 months, and happy with our purchases.
Cheap third-party replacement cartridges is one big advantage Samsung printers have over other brands.
Search Ebay for C410W Toner and M2830DW Toner to find replacement ink cartridges for about $15 to $30 per cartridge color.
