Details: | $5 Back for Purchasing a $10 Credit at Starbucks American Express card members (personal cards, not business cards) can get credits when shopping at some stores.
Now they are offing $5 back when buying at least $10 online at store.starbucks.com, or by loading your mobile phone with $10 in store credit.
- Go to AmericanExpress.com and log in to your account.
If you have trouble logging in, call AmEx customer service phone number on the back of your card.
- On the Account Home page, just below your Outstanding Balance are two rectangles that says "Latest Transactions" and "Offers For You." Click the "Offers For You."
- Scroll down, and see the long list of offers.
Find the offer that says "$5 back" at "store.starbucks.com".
Click "Save Offer".
Make sure you see a green "Saved to card" next to the "store.starbucks.com" offer before proceeding.
If not, call AmEx customer service.
- While on that page, you can also click "Save Offer" next to any other deals you want to enable on your AmEx card.
For example, you can enable $5 credit when spending at least $10 at a FedEx Office store, or $25 credit when spending at least $250 at Best Buy.
Enabling each offer allows you to get the deals, but you are under no obligation to do each deal.
- On your mobile phone, run your Starbucks app.
If you do not have the Starbucks app, download it and set up an account.
- Click "Pay". You will see your current balance, which will be $0 if you have no balance.
- Click "Reload" to add more credit to your Starbucks account.
Choose "Other" as the dollar amount, and select "$10".
- Enter your American Express card number, the same card that you enrolled into the promotion on the AmericanExpress.com website.
- After purchasing your $10 credit, you should get an email from AmericanExpress of your $5 statement credit.
Beware that the Starbucks/AmEx deal will not work if you purchase a gift card from the Starbucks website. |
