| Details: | Asus Eee Desktop PC $277 to $293 Each include an Intel Atom N270 single-core 1.6GHz processor, 1GB memory, 160GB hard drive, DVI video output port, gigabit Ethernet network port, Wireless-N (wifi 802.11n), memory card reader, and consume only 20 watts of power. They only have 1GB of memory, and can be upgraded to 2GB by installing a pair of 1GB 533MHz DDR2 modules, and its hard drive can be replaced with a 500GB 5400rpm. None include a monitor, keyboard, nor a mouse. Also: This model has a S/PDIF in/out audio port, support for Wireless b/g/n, and a video card capable of 720p. Considering a Windows XP license would cost $75 to $100 by itself, this is a very good deal for a simple computer capable of storing/displaying photos, playing videos, doing email, and surfing the web. Or hook this little computer to a wall mounted monitor for displaying pictures, artwork, or statistics in a hallway or lobby. |
