Just got this in the mail today, and WOW!
I've been involved in the pc gaming community for a good amount of years now, mainly playing fps games like counterstrike, call of duty, overwatch, and so forth to apex now; so, I've used a good deal of mice over the years, to name some: Zowie fk-1, zowie ec1-A, logitech g703, logitech g203, Logitech g403, and the razer deathadder, and none of them feel as comfortable to hold (palm/claw hybrid) and as precise as the hero sensor in this revamped version of the mx518. I've always heard good things about the original mx518, but I could never justify spending upwards of $150 for new one or upwards of $50 for a used one that typically had some sort of functional or cosmetic damage. When Logitech announced the mx518 remake I immediately ordered one and I already love it. It feels very comfortable to grip, has a nice look to it (I like the smooth, sparkly design on top that has a sort of ombre effect going from a dark black at the base of the mouse to a lighter grey at the top of the mouse that reminds me of the original mx518's color), and like I mentioned before the hero 16k feels like one of the smoothest, most responsive sensors I've used in a while. First impressions, 10/10. I'll make an edit in the future after I've used it for different games. Thanks for bringing the legend back Logitech!Edit: 2/28/19Pros:- Great ergonomics for right hand mouse users- Design is simple, but looks great. This mouse does not have any RGB or lighting, which isn't a problem with me but could be to someone who wants a mouse with lighting for their flashy set up.- The cord is rubberized and is thinner than other Logitech mice I've used before like the g203 (rubber) and the g403 (braided), which is nice because it fits into my mouse bungee a little easier but isn't so thin that it slides around or comes out.- This mouse weighs 101 grams which isn't the lightest mouse on the market but still feels very manageable and slides across the surface of my mouse pad with ease.- Hero 16k sensor is one of the best optical sensors on the market right now, feels very responsive and I definitely feel a difference in performance over the g203 I was using before getting the mx518.Cons:- The only issue I've had so far with this mouse is the glossy surface. Although it's sufficiently grippy and aesthetically pleasing (to me, might not be your cup of tea), if you have sweaty hands residue does build up on the surface. Nothing a quick wipe wont fix though.

Pros:
- Great ergonomics for right hand mouse users
- Design is simple, but looks great. This mouse does not have any RGB or lighting, which isn't a problem with me but could be to someone who wants a mouse with lighting for their flashy set up.
- The cord is rubberized and is thinner than other Logitech mice I've used before like the g203 (rubber) and the g403 (braided), which is nice because it fits into my mouse bungee a little easier but isn't so thin that it slides around or comes out.
- This mouse weighs 101 grams which isn't the lightest mouse on the market but still feels very manageable and slides across the surface of my mouse pad with ease.
- Hero 16k sensor is one of the best optical sensors on the market right now, feels very responsive and I definitely feel a difference in performance over the g203 I was using before getting the mx518.

Cons:
- The only issue I've had so far with this mouse is the glossy surface. Although it's sufficiently grippy and aesthetically pleasing (to me, might not be your cup of tea), if you have sweaty hands residue does build up on the surface. Nothing a quick wipe wont fix though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing piece of equipment. The legends are true.
Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2019
I've been a Logitech fan for years now since I first started PC gaming. I wont lie I haven't really tried anything else outside of Logitech but I do own just about every main mice in their gaming lineup. The G403, G502, G Pro, G302 and G300s. I always wanted to try the MX518 for its shape but never had the chance until now. I have to say this is arguably the most comfortable mouse Iv ever used. The shape feels similar to the G502 but it gets rid of the non essentials on that mouse and is much lighter. I very much like the old school look and the gloss finish is gorgeous and feels good to grip. I'v played FPS games almost exclusively my entire life. Battlefield, Overwatch, CS:GO, Titanfall, and now I mostly focus on Quake Champions and Apex Legends. The sensor is perfect in every way, that's not really surprising though since it is Logitech after all. The ergonomics are more suitable for medium to large hands, its definitely a THICC mouse and 100 grams isn't exactly the ideal for FPS but I don't mind it at all since the shape makes up for that. I had no issues adjusting from the 89g G pro going to this. Honestly this is probably going to be my main mouse from now on till I find a better shape but that probably wont happen.

PROS
- Amazing shape for medium to large hands (palm grip)
- Solid construction in good 'ol Logitech fashion
- Gorgeous aesthetics and finish (I don't care for Lamborghini flares or RGB)
- Best sensor on the market
- No braided cable (I cant stand brained cable. They're stiff, catch on everything and fray)
- Logitech customer support (they have been amazing in the past)

CONS
- 100g is not ideal would have like to seen it around 90g
- New Logitech G Hub software is not good, I much preferred old software
- Doesn't give me Shroud aim
