I love how this product works just as advertised. I bought a Yi Smart Dash Camera to tryout and to use untill I can afford a more expensive dashcam. When I unboxed the Yi Smart Dash Camera it came with a mount that used (what seemed to be a heavy duty) adhesive to attach to my windshield. But for my job I use multiple different cars and I planned to put this camera in my rear window when I could afford a better one. With this suction cup mount I can move my dashcam where ever and when ever I want. The only thing I was worried about was the strength of the suction cup, which I soon found out after unboxing that the suction cup is very strong and very sturdy.

The actual square on the mount that goes into the camera itself was too big. However, I figured that when I bought it, so I carefully filed it down until it fit and then used a little black electrical tape to keep it tight. Worked like a charm. I don’t care at all what it looks like, it works great and the suction cup stays on the window perfect. Best part: there were two, so if this one breaks, I can do the same to the other one but I don’t expect it to break!!

Plastic is susceptible to UV damage, but would still buy again

My mount broke within 7 months, but this is not a bad review for the product. This product installs easily and does the job; however, the plastic components that clamp and create the vacuum crumbled presumably from UV damage on the dash (I have another one in the back of the vehicle that is just fine.) I realize that for this price point, any product with plastic components will have this same problem. At this low price, my expectation for durability is lower. I plan on buying this again to replace my broken version; however, I am planning to add some sort of tape around the vulnerable parts to shield it from UV decay.

Bought a new webcam that came with permanent windshield mount tape. Thought the suction mount would be better for the flexibility, etc. First one broke before I even installed it, just trying to fit the end into the camera slot - the plastic tip just popped right off. (Figured THIS was the reason it only came in a 2-pack!) So I tried the second suction mount: installed it on the window, attached the camera, started down the road and then IT broke off on the tip as well, causing the camera to drop! All I was doing was gently adjusting the camera angle so it lined up with the center of the lane. What garbage! How can they be selling these things? Absolute garbage! Will now go with the original permanent mount that came with the camera.

The suction cup is serious business. I was a little apprehensive to push the lever all the way, but wow! I don’t think it will ever go anywhere.

This did work perfectly with my Yi Smart Dashcam, but I do have some concerns about the locking nut on the joint that you use to adjust the camera. It does not hold it very tight, but realistically it does work if you do not bump it. The camera stays in place, even over large bumps, so it is not truly a problem.

I would recommend this product due to the fact that the price is excellent considering it contains two mounts, and there aren’t any serious concerns with its functionality.

That one may of had a defect or something but I am now saying it works great, I use this on my dash camera. I purchased this mount to use with a ROAV S1 Dash Cam. You get two of these in the same package. I find it to be very sturdy and holds the camera in place on the windshield of my car. Don't be concerned with the cheap price. It might be cheap but it is a good value. I had to modify it just a little by filing off some of the material to get the mount slide into the camera mounting bracket. It works great with no problem.
