I think this review should be taken in context to price first rather than looking at its flaws. Firstly the overall performance is good, not terrific although acceptable for its price. The main wheeled attachment won’t be picking up to large of objects or any large quantity, but this item is meant to be small and easy to take down and use. When you want precision you can use the gray extension built in and get extra precision, while not being able to be locked into place it isn’t flimsy and requires effort to manipulate. You can flip up the gray attachment to use get closer towards the motor and henceforth towards the opening and yet again it works fairly well. The single worst problem and complain has to be that this thing is LOUD and when I mean loud I mean borderline ear ringing loud. While it works well and is a good economic hand or detailing vacuum for the price, Dirt Devil really needs to make it quieter. To be fair it also has a filter, which also works (yet again surprising for the price and not poorly either. The mechanism that holds the container in place also works and while another point for Dirt Devil to work on, yet again it works. Overall it’s recommendable for something small and convenient even if it is loud and a bit simple it’s still far enough from rudimentary. Read full review

I thought, "How could I lose for under $10?" the answer turned out to be, "Easily." They show it pictured with these attachments to make it into a floor rolling vacuum so I assumed it would work for my purposes which is very small hard floor, non carpeted areas. I was wrong. It can't handle the most minor of tasks. It routinely misses dirt/dust even with multiple passes. I've got an almost 15 year old no name brand hand vacuum I was looking to replace with this and come to find out, it works better than this brand new Dirt Devil. Even at under $10 I still feel like I was taken advantage of. Don't waste your money.

It works as expected. I have an older version of stick vac. The old one really works great. The new version feel like a toy as others have stated. It's difficult to remove the cup. Reattach is a bit easier. But you feel that it's like a toy when you do that. I only use as a hand vacuum. The suction is great. I have not experienced any problem loosing suction. I only use it to clean difficult to reach places or spot clean. The crevice tool is directly attached on the vacuum. Just flip it to focus on hard to reach places. To remove the cup, you need to press the button. On my old one, it's easily detached. This one, you have to really press it in to unlock it. Cleaning the filter cup is just old one although it's smaller and may be easily blocked. I always rinse it afterwards to keep it dust free. The cord could be longer but it doesn't bother me that much. I could use an extension although would recommend a heavy duty one. It does feel like a toy but it works. And with a bit patience, it should work very well just like others.Read full review

I bought this as a 2nd vac to have on hand. I'm using it for small quick jobs and kitchen and bathroom floors, I also use it when it's not my regular cleaning day. I love it. It doesn't weigh much at all. I don't have to worry about belts or cleaning the hair out of the rotating brush like regular vacs have. I would buy this again. It's good for getting against baseboards and come with a tool to use to make it even easier.

Great for small living spaces or any small area really. It's not as powerful as a regular vacuum cleaner, but it's literally a dirt devil / dust buster with a detachable stick handle and a detachable wheeled vacuum attachment. It will not suck up the entirety of the size of the vacuum attachment because 1 it's not powerful enough and 2 the suction hole is an inch / 2 inch square hole thats directly in the center. It's important to remember two things when using this, if you're using it on carpet like a regular vacuum go slower than you normally would and make sure the lines you intend to vacuum are to the centered to the suction area and after cleaning a decent sized area, be sure to turn it off and empty the trap and clean lint / dust off the filter! It is, again, not a regular vacuum and if you don't do this it won't be effective and it may stop sucking up anything altogether. Since this is basically a dust buster with some detachable parts, it is also useful as well, a dust buster. Just take off (or keep on, whatever) the stick handle, detach the vacuum roller, and pull down the extended suction tube and you can get between hard corners and under tight places. All in all for the price, it can't be beat for smaller sized usage areas, and it's compact enough that you could store it anywhere or heck leave it out and it won't really get in the way. I wouldn't use it for a normal sized home though, but for my single-person apartment it does the job and does it cheap!Read full review
