The XS model has a USB port and Ethernet networking port, and can play games (compare).

Update: Here is a good video review of the Roku 2 XS. It is mainly a streaming Internet video player, with a ton of channels available. Some people have even dropped their cable service after finding so much TV content online. The biggest drawback of the Roku, it will not play DivX/Xvid movie files, so anyone with a library of digital video files will need a separate player.
