- A: AnswerYes, this will work with the STR-DH190 receiver.

- A: AnswerCheck the wiring running to all your other speakers and ensure all the other speakers are playing. If the other speakers are working fine, then check the line running from your receiver to the bass. I am using an Insignia 15' Subwoofer cable to connect my receiver to my Core Series 10" bass. Check to make sure you have a solid connection. After checking all wires and speakers for connectivity, make sure you turn the bass itself on. The Sony Core Series 10" has its own power switch located on the back of the speaker near the bottom (its a push button switch). You'll know its on when you see a green light appear on top of the bass near the rear next to the vents. If you have the receiver connected correctly to the bass, AND you have the power switch on the bass pressed in and you see NO light on top of the bass, you have a power problem with the bass and you will need to get it fixed or turn it back in. If you have everything connected correctly, you DO have the power switch on the back of the bass pressed, and you DO see a green light on top of the bass but still have NO sound, you have a blown speaker in that subwoofer.

- A: AnswerYes, I am using this subwoofer for Yamaha ATS-1080 and sounds wonderful after adding this sub to speaker, yes the subwoofer out and Sony Input is same wire and provided with sony subwoofer.

- A: AnswerYes. You would run your speaker wires from the amp to the sub then out to the speakers. The cutoff control on the back then allows you to strip off the high frequencies that the sub does not use and let's the other speakers handle the higher frequencies.

- A: AnswerThat’s exactly the way I’m using it. My TV allows selection of “subwoofer” out of the headphones jack, and that’s where I have it connected. Works great!

- A: AnswerFYI, this is a feature that Sony TVs had for a while, but it appears they dropped by the A8H. If you can find an A8G then you can save some money and it should have this feature.

Added a Second Subwoofer
I had purchased a 5.2 surround sound system. I only purchased 1 subwoofer when I installed the system. I felt like it could be improved with the addition of a second subwoofer. The addition of the second subwoofer seems to give the system a fuller richer sound. I am very satisfied with this addition.

Subwoofer adds depth
I have a Sony Stereo Receiver (STR-DH190) with Sony SCS-CS5 speakers that give a clean, detailed sound. This Subwoofer adds low end depth and punch that enriches the sound of music and TV audio.
