Description
Features
4K ULED™
Like 4K great, but better. The 65U7G has our exclusive ULED technologies. They boost color, contrast, brightness, motion… we could go on. It’s the TV your old TV wants to be.
Hi-View Engine (4K)
Using machine learning, this proprietary technology uses a complex combination of hardware and software technologies to make automatic adjustments to the picture in real-time, enabling fast graphic processing and the best viewing experience.
Quantum Dot Wide Color Gamut
See over one billion shades. Quantum Dot produces purer, richer, more brilliant and accurate colors than a regular LED TV. We could get into how it works. But it’s a lot easier to say it makes every day look like the 4th of July.
Ultra Motion and 120Hz Native Refresh Rate
Ultra Motion removes the digital ‘noise’ that can affect moving objects. Whether it’s a bird, a plane or the man of steel, everything you see is exceptionally clear. 120Hz native refresh rate means smoother gaming with pictures that keep up with your play.
Dolby Vision™• Dolby Atmos®
Dolby Vision HDR picture and Dolby Atmos sound are cinema technology for your home. They provide amazing realism you can see and hear in every scene.
IMAX Enhanced
IMAX Enhanced brings the cinema experience home. It combines digitally remastered 4K HDR content and DTS audio technologies with the best consumer products and streaming platforms. Built for people who want a more premier, at-home experience.
Peak Brightness/Full Array Local Dimming Zones
Screen brightness is measured in nits. One nit is the same brightness as one candle. So the higher the nit rating, the brighter the screen. Anything over 500 nits is extremely good. This is up-to-1,000 nits peak brightness across 90 local dimming zones.
Game Mode Pro
All the most advanced gaming tech. HDMI 2.1 inputs recognize gaming sequences to automatically adjust settings for smooth, uninterrupted play. Automatic Low-Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and FreeSync minimize input lag, screen jitter, and frame tearing.
Hands Free Voice Control
Put down the remote. Change the channel, find the latest movie, stream your favorite video and more with your voice. The quicker, easier way to find whatever you want to watch.

On a budget, or not, The U7G delivers 4 next gen
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV, and a solid option for anyone looking for a 4K/120Hz display on a budget. When I got mine, it was just under $800, but I think if you are patient, you can even find them for under $700 now. One thing to note, if you intend on getting a U7G to use with an XBOX Series X, it's worth knowing in advance that the XBOX Series X does not do 4K/120Hz with Dolby Vision. Neither does Playstation 5. As a matter of fact, PS5, if I recall doesn't do a handful of things the Series X does do. So, Dolby Vision with 4K/120Hz, or no, the Series X is the way to go if you are looking for the best console to pair up with a new TV for your New-Gen gaming experience. Devs are going to start releasing Series X/S only content here very soon, and we are finally going to get to experience what these consoles are meant to be doing. And it's only going to get better from there. Just make sure if you are gaming with a Series X and the U7G in 4K/120Hz (which is the ONLY way to game with this pair), that you turn Dolby Vision OFF in the XBOX menu. Failure to do so will cause the system to try to do something it isn't designed to do, and it caused me a HELL of a headache for several months after buying my U7G, where I would get these intermittent blackouts while I was playing games. It SUCKED, and I was scared to death thaty I had just spent all that money for a Series X and a new U7G, and one of them, or both were messed up from the start. No one at Hisense, nor anyone on any of the good forums could help me figure out what in the hell was going on. Unitil I read in a forum that Dolby Vision does not work above 60Hz with ANY console. Once I found that out, I turned Dolby Vision OFF, and just like that, gaming heaven began, and I've been enjoying it ever since. Don't listen to any of the nay-sayers. I promise you, there are a great many people out there who will tell you that the U7G and U8G don't live up to the hype. ALL THOSE PEOPLE ARE WRONG! This TV is the closest you are going to get to OLED quality picture, without actually purchasing an OLED. It makes NO SINCDE to go out and spend more on another brand's non-OLED 4K/120Hz offerings. They will not look or perform any better than the U7G. And even the U8G is unnecessary unless you are intending to place the TV in an inherently over-bright room with lots of outside light coming in. The 1000 nits peak brightness are more than enough to make this TV look amazing. HDR, HDR 10, and HDR 10+, ALL look AWESOME, and all of these formats work with 4K/120Hz, so Dolby Vision is NOT necessary. Honestly, if it's between 4K/120Hz HDR 10+ (or even HDR 10, or just HDR), and 4K/60Hz Dolby Vision... I'm sticking with 4K/120Hz and HDR 10+ all day long, it's not even a contest, and 120Hz is how these new consoles were always intended to be played. There are a handful of games with 120fps capability already, but more are coming. And there are PLENTY of titles that will give you 4K at 60fps right now, and they are awesome, with ray tracing, and VRR, and ALLM, the U7G and the XBOX Series X were made for eachother, and it's one hell of an experience. I've also got my system hooked up via ARC to my ONKYO TX-NR929 9.2 channel network AVR home theater audio system, and it is so badass and immersive that there are times where I just get lost in a game, and you can feel like you are almost IN the game. Things have come a LONG way since I was a kid, and at 38 years old, I still love to play games. I spend the majority of the free time I get these days (which isn't much, but still) in our game room, glued to my XBOX Series X and my Hisense U7G. These two items were the best money that I have spent in a LONG time, and they both deliver on what they say they will and then some. I highly recommend this TV to anyone getting into the new generation of gaming, As far as I'm concerned, the U7G is the ONLY way to go.

The impressive budget 4k@120Hz TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wait for almost 2 weeks for this TV to arrive. TV looked great and easy to unpack. The Hisense U7G is a mid-range model in Hisense. The Hisense U7G has a simple yet high-quality look. The Hisense U7G supports Both Dolby Vision and HDR10. The picture quality in dark environments is really good, and HDR enhanced the high peak brightness. Thanks to the 120 Hz panel, paired with the very low response time of ~5 ms, the U7G can display motions very smoothly. The U7G has HDMI 2.1 interface which is suitable for a 4K 120Hz refresh rate for gaming. The Hisense U7G native sound is loud enough but lacks bass. The U7G support an HDMI-eARC port, hence U7G can transmit uncompressed Dolby Atmos via a Dolby True HD. The TV also fully supports DTS codecs. Thus, you can use any receiver and soundbar to improve the sound quality. U7G is an Android 10 TV, it gives you a good user experience. It is easy to navigate through the menus and the app. I can use Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and Disney+. U7G has Google Voice control build-in, you can use Google voice control to do the Google Search. The only feature U7G lacks is the viewing angle, it is quite narrow. You have to sit in front of the TV to enjoy the quality. Overall, U7G is a impressive budget TV, with this price range. It give the excellent user experience and price. The viewing angles, it is expected from a VA panel. But, low input lag, a good response time, 4K 120Hz and HDMI2.1 port make U7G more suitable for gaming.

Top of the Line
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've constantly switched between top TV brands over the years but finally wanted to try out a new brand. I'm so glad I did, Hisense has really blown me away with the quality they offer for the absolute lowest price you can find. Seeing it in a big box store can't do it justice, the design blends seamlessly and Android TV works like a charm. It's intuitive to navigate and the remote is a good blend of modern touches designed for Smart TV power users while still being user-friendly to someone coming from a traditional TV. The picture quality is fantastic and playing video games was a crisp and clear experience during fast-paced action. I would highly recommend anyone buy a Hisense TV and seriously reconsider spending a ton of money on traditional brand names when Hisense is doing better for less. I received this TV for a discount in order to review it and all opinions are my own honest thoughts.

Better Than Expected!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to upgrade my tv and spend many day’s researching what I really wanted. I initially purchased a Sony X80K and did not like it not one bit. Returned that for THIS Hisense U7G and I could not be happier! The picture and colors are very bright and vibrant. As far as clarity, it could be better but will due for me at least. What I like about it is how much you can customize your picture settings. Most TVs like LG just gives you different modes which you can’t adjust. Tv is lighter than most 65” led panels out there. Build quality could be better also but is well built. Overall I am very pleased and happy with this U7G over the Sony X80K.
