Changhong is one of the largest television manufacturers in China, and while they are not sold in stores in this country, Newegg is importing this TV and selling it at a great price. I had a chance to meet the CEO of Changhong recently, so I can vouch they are a legitimate company and not a fly-by-night company. This TV is just a 50-inch HDTV without any bells and whistles. No 3D, no 120Hz or 240Hz, no touch-screen remote, no adjustable stand, no Wifi, and no built-in apps. However, these are things most TV viewers will never need, and are just an excuse for manufacturers to charge more for essentially the same TV screen they have sold for many years. If you're looking for an inexpensive HDTV with very good reviews, check out this TV. Most other 50-inch LED-LCD HDTVs go for at least $650. |
