Details:Ebay Tip:
Ebay has great deals on some electronics, but some auctions often close at prices similar to regular prices. However this weekend is both a holiday weekend and the unofficial start of summer, and most people travel and are away from their computers and tablets all weekend.

If you find an Ebay auction for something you want (iPads, Mac Mini, Lenovo laptop, SLR camera), and its auction closes between Friday afternoon and Monday night, you could find the bidding lower than normal. There is no guarantee, since when someone really wants something, nothing will stop them. However if you were to get lucky on an Ebay auction, and are around this weekend, this could be a great weekend to catch a great deal.

For Ebay sellers, we recommend your auctions end on a non-holiday Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday between 2pm and 5pm Eastern Time (1-4pm Central, 12-3pm Mountain, 11-2pm Pacific). Ebay has its most users during that time, and auctions typically receive their most bids within the last 15 minutes of closing time. Achieving this takes planning, since auctions close 5, 7, or 10 days from the exact time they start. Traffic can also be lower in mid-summer months (July to mid August), and higher during winter months (especially November to mid-December). With some planning, you can schedule your auctions to end during high traffic times, and hopefully get a few more dollars for your unwanted goods.
