Details:Update on OfficeMax rebate problems:
I continue to receive emails from people saying that OfficeMax mail-in rebates have given them nothing but trouble. I have some of these emails available for viewing here. About 2 weeks ago, OfficeMax sent us email saying that they are responding to all complaints about rebates not being fulfilled, so understand that a lot of the complaints I just received could have actually occurred before the OfficeMax response 2 weeks ago. The Hot Deals Club website is here to share consumer knowledge, so people can have a lot of information before they make purchases, because the more information consumers have, the more time and money they will save. That is why we are posting information about OfficeMax. I personally have purchased many things from OfficeMax.com and its stores all without any problems. However I must share the large quantity of emails that I receive about a OfficeMax.com deal-after-rebate where people never received their promised rebate. I hold nothing against OfficeMax, despite their request that we stop posting OfficeMax.com coupons. They told us that all "deals" websites have been sent the same "stop" request, but I find it interesting that all other popular "deals" websites continue to feature OfficeMax.com coupons frequently. OfficeMax could have singled us out because we are the only site that has cautioned people about the numerous rebate fulfillment problems of OfficeMax, but of course that is just speculation on our part.

I personally would never purchase anything from OfficeMax where I expected to get a rebate check, because I don't have the time to place phone calls, fax documents, or write letters to people just so they can send me what they promised me. If I were someone who had the time to deal with rebate non-fulfillment problems, I certainly would do a lot of business at OfficeMax because they do have some great deals (after rebate).

For new-comers to this site, here is a chronology of recent postings: It will be interesting to see if OfficeMax's rebate fulfillment does improve. However they may have to do a lot of work to win back customers such as myself.
