You must use your American Express Card to spend at least $25 at a qualifying small business retail store on Saturday, but only if you enroll in Small Business Saturday by registering your American Express Card. Works at locally-owned restaurants, shops, stores, theaters, and service locations that accept your enrolled American Express card. Easiest way to spot a locally owned store is if they have only one store, or just a couple stores all within a few miles of each other. To be certain whether a store is locally owned, just ask the salespeople or manager if they are locally owned. American Express offers a search for a locally owned small business location, under the section that says "Like" Your Local Small Business.
