Each warmer can be opened separately, so you can save the second warmer for later, or use both. Once exposed to oxygen, the warmer begins to generate heat within a half hour for a duration of about 7 hours. They are designed for use in gloves and pockets. They can generate a lot of heat, so they should not be pressed directly against sensitive areas of the body for more than a couple minutes, such as the face, forehead, wrist, and neck. At $0.35 per hand warmer, Amazon's price is very good. The manufacturer charges $43 ($0.54 per warmer) for the same bundle of 40 pairs, and they have pretty good reviews. Retail stores sell these packets for about $3 ($1.50 per warmer). |
