|Details:||Pre-Black Friday Sale on HDTVs|
Costco stores just put a bunch of HDTVs on sale starting today, including:
Costco store membership costs $55 for a year. Non-Costco members can order online with a 5% surcharge, but when the surcharge would already be $50 on a $1000 purchase, mind as well buy a 1-year membership for $55 and pay no surcharge. Costco only accepts American Express, cash, check, and debit cards in-store, but their website will accept other major credit cards as well.
LED-edgelit TVs can be thinner than LED-backlit, but backlit may have deeper blacks. Plasmas have the deepest black levels, but their glass screens produce glare in well-lit rooms.
Look at the TVs in-store to compare how they may look to you, but keep in mind a television signal split many times across many screens may look worse than the dedicated digital TV signal in your home. If the Costco splits the signal and plugs into each TV's Component Video port, that is an analog signal which could be degraded.
