| Details: | $5 Credit for Buying $100 Gift Card for Yourself Log in to your Amazon.com account, look at the top of your Gift Card Balance page, and you could see a green advertisement about getting $5 free when you reload $100 onto your own Amazon gift card. This deal is not available to anyone, probably only people who have previously had an Amazon gift card. This deal could be in response to some recent bad press about Amazon. According to news reports, Amazon banned some customers who returned about 10% of their orders, according to The Guardian. Not only could they no longer order anything from Amazon or buy books for their Kindle, those customers also effectively lost their gift card balances because they could no longer log in to Amazon to use them. Other than The Guardian, there are other complaints of similar banning such as this, however to be fair to Amazon, one article explains how customers can avoid being banned by explaining returns in an email. |
