This is the single-line model of the OBi202 that we have, but works similarly in every way. It was easy to set up with a free Google Voice phone number, and gives free incoming and outgoing phone calls within the US and Canada. Use any standard home telephone or cordless phone, and never pay any monthly fees for home phone service. Note that 911 emergency calling does NOT work with free Google Voice. We solved this by adding Anveo E911 for $20 for the first year, $18/year thereafter. The "E" part of E911 means Enhanced, where the caller's location is automatically provided to dispatchers when the call is placed. This helps emergency services get there quicker. |
