Details:OfficeMax coupons removed:
OfficeMax requested that we remove their coupons posted on our site. I am still awaiting their response to an email recently sent to them to determine if their request was triggered as a result of the recent posting about how terrible OfficeMax rebate fulfillment is and why so many people have their rebates denied.

Since many other websites have direct links to the same OfficeMax coupon with no indication of pulling the coupon, it makes me wonder if the Hot Deals Club was singled out. I wonder if OfficeMax took action against us in retaliation to us highlighting the many rebate problems at OfficeMax. Thousands of people have seen OfficeMax sales and coupons promoted on this site for free, and I'm sure many hundreds of people have purchased their deals that involve rebates, only to be denied the rebate for no reason. I do find it odd that OfficeMax is now asking that we remove their deals off our site just after we warned consumers about OfficeMax rebate fulfillment. However I cannot be sure what their intentions really are since they did not respond to my email.

Note that Hot Deals Club members will continue to see OfficeMax coupons posted, I will just not make them available to the general public just so OfficeMax doesn't get pissed off at us. I have not yet made a decision whether non-members will see OfficeMax coupons in the future.

Update (6/12 4pm EDT): OfficeMax just sent us a response 24 hours after sending us the initial email. OfficeMax says they asked many other websites to remove coupons as well, and asked us not to post any OfficeMax coupons in the future.
